There is no absolutely healthy dog breed and dogs of this breed are also not an exception. The common health problems associated with the breed are: poor eyesight, skin diseases, breath difficulties, hip dysplasia, sensitivity to extreme temperatures, fragile bones, especially in young dogs. Although young dogs are very active, prevent them from high jumps to avoid injuries. Some dogs of this breed have a high body temperature and suffer from overheating. Exposure to high temperatures and humidity may lead to other serious heat-related conditions, such as heat cramps and heat exhaustion. Dogs of this breed live for 8-12 years.

To make the young dog in your home as comfortable as is possible, it should be given the same sort of food as it was in the breeder’s home, the diet should be changed gradually.
