The english bulldog usually has large litters of puppies, and is rarely available through rescue organizations.
Their life span is about 8 years. The breed is very easy to look after: the coat requires little grooming and bathing, adult dogs often dislike exercise. Such dogs are prone to breathing problems, poor eyesight, and heat strokes. These dogs are good for apartment life. Dogs of this breed won’t bother you demanding long daily walks. Dogs of this breed are very gentle creatures. The breed is very affectionate and get very well along with children. Dogs of this breed are excellent guardians. Dogs of this breed are not for everyone.

This breed is relatively small (12-16 inches,) but wide and compact, with a broad and massive head. The muzzle is short and pug. The chicks extend to the sides of the eyes. The nose is broad and black with large nostrils. The eyes are usually dark, rather round and far apart. The ears are normally small, folded back in the form of a rose. The tail is short as well as the legs. It is shorthaired; all colors except black are acceptable. It's better to keep such dogs indoors, as they are inactive and can easily chill.
